W.H. Engineering Group is an engineering design, consulting, and management firm based in Irvine and San Jose, California. Our services include civil and structural engineering design, consulting, and land surveying services. Our mission is to provide the best level of engineering services and customer service to all of our clients.

Jack is well-known for his work throughout California and has a great network of local architects, developers, and construction firms.

Wai has more than 10 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering design. From the development of site design criteria to engineering support during construction, Wai's passion for his craft always results in high-quality work and guaranteed client satisfaction. Wai's expertise includes site grading, stormwater drainage design, hydrology study, stormwater quality management plans, calculating earthwork quantities, and utility design.
Hope Xi, PE, PhD

Dr. Xi has more than 10 years of experience in structural engineering design on a variety of materials including wood, light gauge steel, steel, concrete, and masonry, with a specialty in concrete and steel design. His projects cover a wide variety of sectors of the industry such as single-family, multi-family, retail, institutional, and healthcare across California, Arizona, Utah, Georgia, New York, Florida, and Hawaii. Dr. Xi also has experience in construction administration.

Structural Engineer
Frank (Hongbo) graduated from UCI and worked in multiple structural engineering firms over the last 10 years. He joined W.H. Engineering as an independent structural engineer in 2016. Hongbo is a licensed professional engineer and general contractor in the state of California. His experience covers all types of work within commercial, private, and industrial structures.

Architect

She excels at leading interdisciplinary teams through a rigorous design process, crafting architecture that blends function and aesthetics while prioritizing efficient space planning and strategic site design.

Xiaoyue Jiao, PE
Structural Engineer
Cynthia (Xiaoyue) graduated from UCLA in 2015, and has over 7 years’ experiences in structural design in south California area. She has been involved with a variety of projects including residential developments (single family and multi-family), commercial developments and seismic rehabilitation. Cynthia is a CA licensed professional engineer and joined WH in 2022.

Interior Designer
Ruowen is a graduate of the Interior Architecture program at the Rhode Island School of Design. With a passion for large-scale spatial design and architecture, she specializes in color harmonization, spatial arrangement, and the adaptive reuse of old structures. Her research in these areas has shaped a unique perspective in the field.
